who are we?
The West Michigan CATIA (WMCUG) and NX (WMNXUG) users, meeting to learn and share ideas with each other. West Michigan is blessed with great companies, talented engineers and a entrepreneurial spirit. What better way to learn than from each other! WMCAE is leveraging lessons learned from WMCUG and WMNXUG, we have now merged our half day meetings into one full day.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All participants of wmCAE events must abide by the following policy:
- Be excellent to each other. Treat everyone with respect. Participate while acknowledging that everyone of us has the right to enjoy our experience without fear of harassment or discrimination. Jokes shouldn’t demean others. Consider what you are saying and how it would feel if it were said to or about you.
- Speak up if you see or hear something. Harassment is not tolerated, and you are empowered to politely engage when you or others are disrespected. The person making you feel uncomfortable may not be aware of what they are doing, and politely bringing their behavior to their attention is encouraged.
- Practice saying "Yes and" to each other. It’s a theatre improv technique to build on each other’s ideas. We all benefit when we create together.
Safe Zone. We intend these meetings to be a safe environment for the attendee and the company allowing their employee(s) to attend, we do not share intellectual property or solicit employees.
Who can attend?
We have an open invitation to licensed CATIA and NX users. We do request you register for the event to help us with event logistics.
Our meetings are divided into two sessions:
- CATIA - mornings
Guest are encouraged to attend one or both depending on their interests.
Is there a fee to attend?
No, just as we have been blessed with great manufacturing and design companies in West Michigan. We also have outstanding re-sellers of CATIA and NX, as well as support from Dassault Systèmes and Siemens PLM. For each event we invite a sponsor to present on a topic nominated by the previous users group meeting. They have graciously covered the event expense in the past.
